If input is master clock, then any glitch would happen at the low latency speaker output only, and not affect any other output! If this happens at the input, it affects ALL outputs. If the input is not master clock, it must go through a buffer / sample rate converter, and that’s where the dropout can occur. When pushing for low latency with for example on-board Realtek, there can be the occasional dropout.
